Constitution

Name
The name of the club will be "Wrexham Fencing Club" which will be affiliated to Welsh Fencing.

Object
The object of the Club will be to promote the sport of Fencing.

Membership
Members will be divided into the following categories:
a) Full Senior member – Full club members over 18 years of age
b) Full Junior member – Full club members under 18 years of age
c) Social member
All persons actively engaged in fencing at the club shall be insured for that purpose, by membership of Welsh Fencing, or other body recognised for that purpose by British Fencing.

Coaching
All persons engaged in coaching at the club will have a current recognised coaching qualification and will be insured for that purpose, and will hold DBS Clearance and any other certification that British Fencing may from time to time require.

Child Protection and Safety
Every club member, or person(s) actively engaged in any club activity, must accept and comply with all current BFA Child Protection requirements and safety policies.

Subscriptions
Subscription rates will be decided by the Club Committee prior to the commencement of the season and will be advised to the membership at the Club Annual General Meeting.

Administration
a) The officers of the Club will be: Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Club Coach and one other member.
b) The Committee reserve the right to co-opt, at their discretion, other members where and when necessary.
c) All officers will be elected at the Annual General Meeting and will hold office until the next Annual General meeting, when they will retire, but will be eligible for re-election.
d) An Honorary Auditor will be appointed annually by the Annual General Meeting.
e) The affairs of the Club will be administered by the Committee as in 7(a).

Accounts
Proper accounts of receipts and expenditure will be kept by the Treasurer and these will be open to inspection by members of the Committee.
An Annual financial statement (Statement) will be prepared.

Meeting
An annual General Meeting will be held every year during the month of January. Special General meetings may be convened by the Committee and the Secretary on the requisition of not less than 15% of the total paid up membership. At least 7 days notice will be given of all meetings.

Constitution
Alterations to the Constitution may only be made at an Annual general Meeting. A written copy of any resolution proposing an amendment signed by the Proposer and Seconder must be submitted to the Hon secretary at least 3 weeks before the Annual general Meeting for inclusion in the Agenda. A majority by voting of 66%of members present will be required for the passing of the proposed amendment, alteration or addition.

Dissolution
In the event of the dissolution of the Club, any property or monies that remain after the settlement of liabilities will not be distributed but transferred to Welsh Fencing.

Expulsion
At the discretion of the Committee a member may be asked to leave the Club if their actions are such as to bring discredit to the Club.

All matters arising which are not covered by these rules will be decided by the Committee.
